Charity Quiz

Demi Olateru is holding a Charity Quiz at The Woodford Wells club and running the London Marathon in 2025 to raise money for Spinal Research!

This cause is very close to her heart: as few years ago her dad suffered from a C4 level spinal injury when he fell brushing his teeth. He was paralysed from the neck down instantly, and had very little hope of any kind of recovery.

He started suffering from spasms that made recovery impossible - after a few months in hospital, he underwent surgery to insert a pump in his spine to stop the spasms, & everything started looking up! After his release, he was looked after by the amazing doctors and nurses at Stanmore that helped his rehabilitation & sent him home with a physio programme that he has kept to everyday since!
